where to relocate accelerating sensor on stock shocks when installing coilovers

HI Guys,

For those of you who have installed AST, JRZ, Moton, MCS suspension, can you please tell me where you relocated the accelerating sensor module that is
mounted on the stock shocks?

Most aftermarket coilovers don't have a bracket to screw the module back on, especially in the back where true coilovers don't have the space for it to even
relocate the mounting bracket.

Thanks,
Steve

Attached are pictures of the sensors that I am talking about. Where do these go when you install Moton/AST/JRZ coilovers? Do you mount them to the inner body somewhere?

I disconnected them. They are not needed if you have coilovers.

do you get a CEL or trouble code if they are disconnected?

What do the sensors do exactly? is it related to the suspension travel, the part is described as an acceleration sensor.

You have to remove EDC coding or install one of the EDC emulator modules to avoid the chassis malfunction errors.

And yes remove the sensors.

Thanks for the feedback everyone - much appreciated.

I did check realoem.com and it looks like the base non-EDC suspension does not have these sensors so my guess is that they are there to log motions of the shocks so that the EDC can adapt shock valving accordingly (comfort/sport modes).
