Tire sizes for OEM 19s

I have been having lots of fun upgrading my F80 and cruising during this time of COVID. Now I am in need of new rear tires and would like to go with some larger than 275; as with some simple performance mods, the power does not get put down consistently. I am aware from a thread I read a while ago how 285 does not increase traction greatly according to a few members. My front 255s are in good condition (I drive very spirited ) and I would like to keep those for a bit longer if possible. I am aware that this might cause some problems, and am open to other possibilities if needed. I recently put on MP HAS and I have 15mm spacers upfront, 12mm rear. Just to note, I am a fan of the meaty look bigger tires offer, I am just slightly worried about any fitment issues as I am no expert in this topic. I am no tech wizard when it comes to wheels and would appreciate any help!

Compound type increases grip alot more than any width or contact patch increases.

You can run up to 295 in the rear and 275 in the front but you are stretching it.

Ideally go 265 285 MP4S which seems to be the common tire layout.

I personally bought 265 285 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R extreme performance tires. Waiting for them to be delivered tomorrow.

So if you want better or grippier tires with more feedback move up some categories, also if you keep the fronts 255, i think you can go 295 30 19 In the rear and keep the same stagger as OEM.

The issue is the tire you replace either has to be equivalant or similiar tread pattern and similiar compound type.

You cant mix extreme tire rears with max performance fronts without throwing off dynamics.

If you're thinking of PS4, the 285 profile in 19" is backordered for the foreseeable future.

I was just in your situation, with the same set up. I just fitting ps4s in the rear with 295/30. It rubs over bumps with the spacers, so I took them off.

I currently have Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+. Would it be worth it to switch the rears to 295 in this tire or to swap these out completely for something more extreme (was considering r888rs). Note this is not the DD, but in the warmer weather I do find myself making many excuses to take it out.

Can I run R888s on 19x9 & 19x10 OEM 437 wheels?

If not for all 4 corners, can I mix-and-match them with say Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2s?
