TDI-TUNING box

Hi there,

I have just sold my f31 335d in order to purchase a 2016+ f80 M3 that I am still to source.
I had a tdi tuning box on my 335d as wanted to keep it removable for warranty etc. I can get this reprogrammed with the f80 software and wondered if anyone here had used one of their boxes on an m3/4??
I know it is far inferior over a remap but for £130 odd quid thought it may be a start while I get the exhaust and a few other bits done initially.

Be interested in your thoughts

I certainly have!

It's a great box to be honest and the ability to turn it up/down is a dream. My CP car dyno'd at 507 bhp so quite respectable.

I've just bought the BootMod3 license for OBD mapping from home - hoping for good things.

Not sure how the 335d box connects, the M3 version has 2 boost connectors and, I assume one fuel so I think it's likely to be a different loom too.

My box will be up for sale soon so if you end up selling the 335 box and want another, let me know.

Thanks for the info. I emailed them and they said it was fine to do. There are 3 connectors on the box.

Did it make a noticeable difference on the car?

Oh yes!! Huge difference.

The map is smoother but the box is great bang for the buck.

Did you not need a new wiring harness?

Sorry to be ignorant in this but what's the difference between bootmod3 and the TDI Tuning box and why did you swap the former for the latter?
