I bought this directly from Bimmer-Tech and it has been installed in my car for a few months. I just took it out yesterday after going a different route. The installation is simple and only takes 30-40 minutes. All cables/antennas/usb parts are included, nothing is missing. Here is a link to the product on their website:

I have a 2016 F80 and it worked flawlessly. No freezing or rebooting. Supports wireless carplay and full screen carplay.

Just to clarify, as long as you have idrive4 this will work in your car. I just verified with bummer-tech. If you a 2015 or 2016 f8x with nbt evo Idrive 4, this is a plug and play CarPlay solution. No coding required.
