let's confirm my clutch is shot...

I removed the CDV last week and it actually helped a lot, but yeah, had same issues with my e82 and put a new one in. But that was at like 60,000 miles, this car has 28,000 wild

Yeah it's really really early to be doing a clutch imo. I didn't have to touch mine until around 60k, and that was with almost 10k being bm3 stage 2. Only reason I ended up even doing a clutch is that I somehow broke one of the straps on the pressure plate. Clutch disc still had plenty of meat on it and the flywheel looked pretty good at that point.
