BR-PERFORMANCE has found a solution for the BMW Ecu's for all types of cars in the BMW range.
They also found the solution for all BOSCH ECU's. (Opel/Ford/McLaren/BMW/Mercedes and soon more to come!)

Sounds like a basic flash... are they able to dyno tune the car and edit all ecu tables at will? Highly doubt that.

on the 1 series 114i (see above) we installed map switching on the eco/comfort and sport buttons with different power levels, so the answer is yes!

We all remain skeptical until we see things for ourselves, but just keep this in mind: It's all about who you know. It doesn't need to be "cracked" if you have the proper hardware. I won't go any deeper into that but we should see some more (and stateside) developments here soon.

How is this done? The key is the convenience of allowing the user to do this otherwise, this is somewhat useless. Is there a handheld flasher option? Or computer sw that will allow a user to flash? Otherwise, this is useless for folks under warranty that need back to back changes.

S55 we haven't done yet, i'm still under 3k km with the car

It took us 4 years to hack the Fxx series, making it possible for the end-user to make the flash is not our current priority. It's just to complex!
To give you an idea, we have 150 F-series we tune each month (each center!) We have 8 centers all over the world, that makes +-1000 F-series / month!
People don't care about the warranty here in Europe and most cars are already out of warranty.
For local customers we offer free original flash if they want under warranty! Works perfect!

The f20 m135i is my car they are currently working on. I am excited to see what they get out of it with all its mods and E30 fuel.

I will keep running jb4 for the logging and meth control.

Hmm...pretty low numbers honestly (esp. considering that appears to be crank numbers), not seeing the benefit of this over a piggyback if that's all we can expect. Looking forward to more though, progress is progress!
