Powder Coat from Wheel Repair Shop?
I had been doing some shopping to have my M4 wheels powder coated bronze, and here I am again doing the same thing for the M5.
I reached out to a number of local Wheel/Wheel Repair shops who all claim 24 hour turnaround on powder coating jobs, including remounting tires and balancing. I also spoke to a well reviewed, dedicated powder coating shop, who told me to be weary of anyone claiming such a quick turnaround, as its likely just paint and not a true powder coat. He told me it would take him a few days to get everything done, and also didn't offer any of the services a normal wheel/tire shop would (ie removing tires, remounting, etc) Anyone have any advice? I'd love to take it to a one-stop-shop and have the car back the next day, but I'm hesitant now.

24 hour turn around sounds way too quick to me. I’ve had 2 sets of wheels pc in the last 6 months. The quickest turn around was 3 days. I told them to take their time and do it right the first time. Cuz it was a bit of a drive and traffic sucks balls. So i didn’t want to show up and be unhappy with the quality.

My thoughts as well. First time I had a set of wheels done, it took the better part of a week, but I also had a spare set. The 24 hour turnaround is enticing because I don't have to worry about being without a car or purchasing another set of wheels.
