You do not know how long I've been waiting to read this ability.

I have 2013 e82 135 dCT and am restricted on my power now due to DCT need reading load correctly from DME (JB4). Basically same exact situation as darkhold but I have the 7 speed dct and not the 8.

Can you guys please elaborate on this more. I can submit this inquiry in via the website request form but I do not see an e82 n55bu section, assuming I could still use the f20 due to same engine though?

Very interest to learn more!

Can you help me understand what all the unlocking allows? Does it allow access through the odb port?

Unlocking is pasword extraction.
It allow read/write of the DME in boot mode ( direct access of the memory )

Patching allow programming ( after ) in OBD.
We are working on patch. It was not our top priority.

Unlike cobb we are not offering tool for end user, that works in OBD.
We work with ECU every day so fo us removing ecu and flashing in boot mode ( on the bench ) is very easy !

Ok so i just want to reconfirm this post. You still need us to send you our ECU's to flash? Cause my local tuner says they dont have the ob2 port tune yet but can bench tune my n55. That was last year, so im tryin to figure out what you have unlocked if its not the ob2 flash we r talking about. Sorry if i sound late, but i just dont have time to read the whole thread and i just wnt to know.

There is no OBD port flash option, so it can only be programmed in boot mode (ecu opened on bench). They have unlocked the ability to communicate with the Microprocessor on the F series BMW's in boot mode.

At the moment, it's possible to port flash up to MY2011 N55.
All those models can also be done on bench via boot mode or through the port via OBD2.

Late N55 Exx ( MY2012+ ) previously couldn't be done on bench at all because they use exact same protection as Fxx that prevent us from accessing the memory in boot mode.

Any local tuner can contact them for unlocking ( done by us at the moment ) regarding Fxx in USA.
