Opinions: Azurite Black w/ SO interior

I know this isn't a very common combo and I have found a few threads on it...but would appreciate any owners or even anybody that has seen it to chime in.

I have not seen the SO in person...but comes across as kinda "bright" in the pics. Is it this way in person or is it more of a red/clay color?

Also....thoughts on this color combo in general? I feel like SO goes well with either straight up black or lighter blues (yas, SMB, etc)...but Azurite is kind of an in-betweener. Does it look like Tanzanite blue in the sunlight...and like BSM in the shade? I don't mind a black car as I usually get ceramic coating which makes detailing/maintenance a breeze.

Thanks.

AB compliments the cars natural curves beautifully!

Although, I can't speak much on AB w/ SO interior, as I have only seen pics.

Here is Azurite black in the sun, led lighting, and with overcast skies. I have Silverstone interior though.

I have a BSM with SO interior, so not quite the same but I love it. The SO has a reddish hue to it.

I think the SO interior is more orange-y than SO exterior, which can look more reddish or copper-y in different light. I wouldn't describe SO interior as bright or excessively shiny though. Also (like many colors) it looks different in person than in pictures and pictures can make it seem more shiny than it is in person. Try finding a car with SO interior / any exterior at a local dealer or local owner to see in person.

Can't really comment on the combination but if you like them both I suspect you'll like them together.

I've seen the color combination you are thinking about and it is really sharp. I was hesitant about SO/SO at first also. I saw the interior in person and I think it definitely is more red than orange.

One of the pictures has the striped seat belt which has red in it for some reference.

Here are some pics of my interior.

The E90 M3 launch car was Jerez Black over Fox Red leather which looked great.

Very similar to Azurite/SO.

I agree with everybody. SO will be great with Azurite Black. I believe SO would be good with any variety of black-white greyscale color.

I disagree. The paint is much more orange to me, I don't think they should label the interior as SO, its clearly red to my eyes.

The fox red above was more orange than SO

Have you seen SO interior / exterior in person or are you basing it on pics?

FWIW, I had Jerez with Fox Red (some individual) and I thought it was great - now I have SO interior.

Of the two, I definitely like Fox Red better as a red. I've see SO/SO and to my eye it's off a bit. As a sedan or coupe it could work since you don't so directly see the two colors together, but not in a 'vert for me - it doesn't match.

As for AB / SO in a sedan/coupe I think it's ok if you really like SO.

Shitty picture of fox red

Jerez with the fox red door inserts (best pic I could find)

SO interior and exterior are definitely different IMO. I think it is partly because one is a soft leather coloring and the other is metallic paint applied to a completely different surface. They both also look different depending on lighting. But ultimately I agree they differ.

I originally wasn't crazy about the SO interior when I saw it in pics but liked it when I saw it in person and have grown to really like it. Similar to many other colors, best to see interior and exterior in person to decide whether one likes it or doesn't. Looking at pics or extrapolating exterior to interior (or vice versa) won't work.

My GTR was black with red interior and I unfortunately had to part with that car sooner than I had wanted.

Trying to recreate the dream.

Then I'd say go for it! You'll end up loving it - I like the SO interior and the attention to two-tone detail in now making any of the stitching that can reflect off the windows deviated. You'll like it.

I had a 2011 E92 M3 jerez black with fox red, now a F83 mineral grey with SO, and both are great. Fox red is more reddish, but SO is awesome. the AB/SO combo looks like my old E92. I don't think you'll regret it.

I am biased for sure but to me the M3/M4 should only come with screaming interior colors... Hence to me the only option was SO.

I have a production number but it's not locked in. My block date currently says 8/10/17, but I hope things speed up in June when "official" pricing is released.

I have this exact combination landing in the next weeks. I'll send some pictures across ?

I've seen it in the flesh and it's very underrated
