Hmmmmm...I cant find them. Found his other thread 3SDM but can't find the wheel... Noob queastion time. Whats difference between something like these and 1500K HRE wheels

I'm definitely going to be refinishing them. Most likely to an Orbit Grey color, like the CS wheels. Yours do look awesome, although I prefer a slightly darker look for myself!

The HRE wheels have the spoke shape machined from a forged preform. The 3SDM 0.50 wheels have the main part of the wheel cast and then the rim section is extruded (flow formed). 3SDM also make forged wheels.

For the main part, a forged wheel “should” potentially be lighter for a given design and you would also normally have more customisation options as they’re produced in smaller volumes. The trade off is the much higher price as forged wheels are far more labour intensive to produce and there is a lot of wastage. Flow forming is currently the next step down from forged wheels although they are considerably cheaper.
