AG Wheels

Hi Everyone

I am looking to buy a set of the Advant garde wheels the 580 in 20"s for my M4

I see they have a bespoke program for that wheel, I am new to all this and want to know what off set should I get them at?

I plan on lowering with the KW sleeve kit or the H&R lowering springs. I am going to lower it pretty low

My other car is a F10 on 20"s and it does not rub at all

Do you think the following will work with out rolling fenders?

20x8.5 front ET35
20x10 Rear ET35

I plan on getting Falkens , what is the tires size?

I did a search and still a little confused on the fitment

TIA

These are not aggressive enough for our cars. You'll need at least 20mm spacers in front and 5-10mm spacers rear to make these wheels fit. The front is too narrow, if you going to upgrade your wheels then you need to upgrade it. This is considered a downgrade over stock.

For 20s, you'll need 9.5" ET22 front and 11" ET40 rear with 255/30/20 front and 305/25/20 rear for it to look and drive good.

I agree... and weight too, heavier wheels are noticeable... but some folks want just a different look regardless as to the impact on performance and that's OK too

Ok, good to know, I don't see too many that is in those specs

I would settle for 19" as well

You'll want custom wheels if you want those specs in 20s. As for 19s, there are many ready to ship wheels with those offset. I.e Vorsteiner and Volk ZE40.

For affordable custom 20s, Forgestar and BC Forged are good options. If you have more budget for wheels, the skies is the limit.

I think I found some nice Vorsteiner 19 or 20, not sure if the 20" will be too big

19s will have more tire options and more comfortable compared to 20s. For look and performance, 19s are perfect for the F8x. Otherwise plan on dodging potholes.

For Vorsteiner 19s. You can go OEM tire size or 275/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear. No MDM intervention.

HI JNnSol, what is MDM? Sorry new to all this

Is 19x10 front and 19x11 Rear too much?

What should the offset be?

Thanks!

Yes. If you have K&W Clubsport, it'll be a tight fit.

19x10 ET20 front (ET18 for K&W Clubsport)
19x11 ET40 rear

275/30/19 front and 305/30/19 rear. I hope your car is lowered, so the front can camber in a bit. Go one width smaller if you plan to use R compound for tracking.

MDM = "M Dynamic Mode" = Traction and Stability Control

Have your car coded for Euro MDM and you'll have a ball around turns.

I didn't order the EDC suspension, I had that on my F10 and it kept throwing codes

I think I am going with the KW Sleeves or V3

Does the brand of tire makes a difference? On my F10 I use Falkens and it was stretch a little

I don't plan to track it at all, just a DD for work and play

MDM has nothing to do with EDC. Tire brand shouldn't make a difference, but I would stay with summer performance tires (same as PSS or better).

As for suspension, don't even consider K&W HAS if you have non-EDC. Go full coilover if you're itching to lower the car. We have an M car, don't take short cuts on the most crucial upgrades (tires and suspension).

K&W V3 and Bilstein PSS10 are both great options for street driving. Bilstein lowers more conservatively in the rear. Bilstein is the easiest to adjust height and damping. The rebound and compression tied to one knob, less guess work for street driving. K&W V3 offers more adjust ability (rebound and compression are independent adjustment), but the rear sits way too low for most people's taste.

If budget allows, JRZ RS-Two touring is the best option. Otherwise stick with the 2 brands above for lower $2k price range.

Very good points, I am going to look into the coilovers, you do know a lot about these cars and set up.

The Bilstein is price lower then the KW as well if I am correct

I don't mind spending money on the suspension as well, my F10 has KW V1 and it set right from the factory and like the ride so much
