You might want to look in and post this in the separate sub-form titled "Engine / Drivetrain / Exhaust / Bolt-ons / Tuning" where this topic has been discussed for the last six years:

I've got an AWE track edition with catless downpipes, car is stupid loud. It's not a daily driver (had it for almost 2 years and it has 1,500mi on it) so I like it, but if you are going to run catless DP's I would get a valved exhaust.
I will add, the catless DPs make a big difference in power. I also had a stage II tune done, car is ridiculously fast. |

Just got my car and am 2nd owner. Has Remus already installed with factory midpipes and downpipes. Gonna go with AA single mid pipe if I can get a good price on a Black Friday sale. Think that offers best of both worlds from what I can see vs keeping stock mids.

Since these cars are turbo, I dont think the exhaust sounds that good compared to the E92 M3.
I have de-cat downpipes and stock exhaust on my ZCP. I think that sounds fine. I would say on an NA car, exhaust is critical but on F80/82 I don't really think its absolutely necessary. If you are dying to spend money, then I'd probably go with M-Performace Exhaust.
