Finally finished installing the interior cosmetic mods to my F83.

M Performance Electronic Steering Wheel
AutoTechnik Carbon Fiber Paddle Shifters
IND Red Matte Finish M1 & M2 Buttons
Custom Alcantara Centre Console done by forum member TiggerFO
DCT Stripe also done by TiggerFO

Shoutout to TiggerFO! I sent him the centre console and carbon fiber DCT shift knob and he did his magic work. Even the PDC was wrapped in alcantara. I couldn't be happier!!!

Looks nice and clean.
Let me know if your wheel display wont start at temps above 45°C, that was the point, when mine refuses to work and so the LED-strips at the sides.
Further to mention, that the places with the activating knobs for the display are looking very quick tacky and used, I had used a soft toothbrush for bring the leather back to a better look. But all in all I was a disappointment for the price of the wheel and the lacks of usage.

Thanks. I will keep you updated if I get the same issues when the temperature gets hotter.

You are right about the alcantara wheel. I find myself constantly brushing it often to bring up the pilling. There's more maintenance compared to the leather wheel.

I was looking for that piece for a RHD, if anyone knows of a seller.

The CF looks a bit off when it is so close to the OEM carbon.

If there was distance between 2 pieces the difference is less noticeable.

I would consider Aliexpress, they have tons of CF look panels and stuff.
But yeah, the pattern of the CF waves are almost not the OEM BMW way, some dealers are obey that at manufacturing and some not, ask before buy.

Did he also restitch the leather trim piece to match his alcantara stitching too?

Yes. The original leather trim piece was white stitching. It blended well with the alcantara piece.

Some of the simplest but best mods i've done have been interior:

Alcantara/Leather Flat bottom steering wheel
M1/M2 Flat Red buttons to match the OEM start button
M Perf Arm rest & hand brake
Hated the tiny stock shifter so got a custom Alcantara boot made with matching stitching to the M Performance parts and paired it with the longer style OEM shifter from BMW

Was thinking about getting the M performance trim piece for the steering wheel but looks a bit tacky IMO, prefer the M logo.

Normally not a huge fan of full out carbon interiors but this is just sexy as hell. Good inspiration.

Not sure how you can listen to Whitney Cummings speak for that long though lmao

I don't have pictures but will take & post later.

Interior F80 modifications…

- MP V2 steering wheel
- MP Alcantara armrest
- MP CF / Alcantara DCT & surround
- MP e-brake
- MP CF door handles 4x
- Eventuri CF seat backs
- Light switch panel silver trim (Thank you TLG)
- Euro Spec sun visors (1 of the least expensive & often overlooked). For some reason, this tops my list. I plan to swap on all my other cars.

- R7 & Rennline phone mount (not sure these count as modifications)

I am sure I missed some and will try to catch when I post the picture.

Autoteknic brake handle (should have bought m performance with alcantara boot) and autoteknic alcantara CF insert. My favorite mod is the Autoteknic CF stick on for the door handles...flawless execution and looks much better than expected!
Where did you get that cover for the automatic start stop ? Looks Amazing !

Thanks. Was told not to do the CS console but I think the carbon turned out amazing. My carbon guy does outstanding work with OEM Fitment.

As for the Whitney Cummings. I like joe Rogan and the wife like Whitney, plus it was a 3 hour drive to get the 10" head unit done. So we compromised, But it was well worth it.

Installed my Evolve paddle shifters from IND today. I like em a lot - can shift at top or bottom and no flex/no issues. Also installed is my Cobywheel steering wheel.

how do you like your race display steering wheel after a while? I see PPL complaining it gets dirty etc but i dont find as a problem if you take care of it. How about all the functionality it brings - do you still use it or its just a fancy gadget after time??
