I'd take the CS.

I looked at the lease rates for a new g80. No way in hell I'm paying that. I'd rather pay a little extra and get an m5 or switch to Porsche

Wait for G80 xDrive
By that time it'll be 59-60% residual
Flash to stage 2 e30 nd run 9.90s all day long
Get the CS for now and turn it it for the G80 when the lease ends
Win win

I'll get the g80 m3 in AWD, 3 years after its originally release. So I can snatch it up for .50c on the dollar, as I'm a cheap fuck and still have a year of warranty left so I can drive it as if its stolen, and purposely try and break things like I usually do with cars under warranty

Then sell it before warranty expiring, bored of jt.. and breaking even.

Since your doing some track days, i would take the M3 CS and do the G80 after the lease is up.

The F80 M3CS is like 300lbs lighter and probably more enjoyable on track. Once the lease is done, you can go for a AWD G80 and maybe lease terms are better.

How can you ever get bored of an M car!?

If you are leasing your cars, I would recommend taking the CS. Once that matures, there will be a lot more options for the g80.

Maybe the take up by customers may not be that good and BMW might throw more incentives to get the cars (G8x) off the lot.

No one has yet mentioned the weight difference between the F80 and the G80, almost 500 pounds! That's a HUGE amount and it will definitely be felt on the street, even more so on the track.

And then there's that abominable grille...

.
320 pounds if you use DIN data and assume he'd get an auto G80. 264lb if you assume he'd get a 6MT G80

F80 CS DCT: 3659lb
G80 8AT: 3978lb
G80 6MT: 3923lb

Still lots of weight, but pretty far from 'almost 500'

This was what I remember from the initial reports, and I remember it was over 4000 lbs. I care so little about the G80 I couldn't bother to look it up. Not planning to buy one.

I'm thinking it actually looks like a Pontiac Grand Prix. I think the hood is bothering me more now than the grill. I don't want to say it's a pile of shit because that would be offensive to piles of shit!🤣

Get the CS, I'd be curious what the buy out vs the market value would be in those 15 months remaining, and then make your decision based on that.

Questionable styling, and increased weight aside consider that the M3 CS is the swan song of the F80. 4 years of improvements and refinement on a proven platform with a bunch of carbon fiber goodies. The G80, on the other hand, is a first year car with all the rookie year mistakes.

A short 15 month lease on the best version of the outgoing car is a great way to wait for a slightly more refined newer car with hopefully better lease rates, some updates, and styling that has either been tweaked or we will be accustomed to and quite possibly grown to even like (anything can happen).

I was just admiring my M3 CS in the garage last night. It still looks killer and it doesn't look "last gen" at all at least for now.

Does the M3 CS come in manual? I have not seen one. If not F80 Comp manual is the way to go IMO.
