Buying new car for a seat swap

Ive been looking for Sonoma beige interior swap for my M4, but as you would think it pretty difficult to come across that.

Would it be totally ridiculous to buy another M4 with beige interior, do the swap (with black) then resell?

What do u guys think?

Trade your car for one with beige and save the trouble of swapping?

Could do that, but would take a major hit on the price I paid

Buying and reselling could potentially be a 0 cost option was my thinking

This sounds like a totally reasonable thing to do.

What you WANT to do is find someone selling a car with your interior... a private seller selling at a low price and ask him to trade plus you add cash.

It's not going to be the most conducive use of your money. If you're concerned about loss of value - your approach is not optimal.

At the end of the day, it's just a material object which you can replace. Enjoy it now and get a new vehicle with your desired specs when you're ready to change out of your current.

You could always go to an upholstery shop and have them either recover or dye your seats the color you'd like them to be? I imagine it will be a bit pricey, but I wouldn't think it would be anymore expensive than buying a whole new set, swapping them out, then reselling the old (not to mention all the time it would take to accomplish this task). Good luck!

Might be easier to find someone local to swap seats with.

this is nothing, there's a guy on here with a thread about how he's going to graft the ass-end of an M3 onto his M4 because he likes the flares.....even had a pic of the donor M3 on a trailer.

This, check salvage yards or go without the beige. Buying a newer car, swapping interiors and reselling seems unlikely to be a net zero cost.

Yes, my original post was flaming and petty - and after posting it I realized there's no need for that shit and it's better to be a benevolent troll
