184 mph or 296 km/h on German Autobahn, almost daily as DD on way to work or home!
God save the Autobahn 😁 and M drivers package!

I have a 2017 M4 and no matter how hard I pushed it won't exceed 268kph! I recorded this. guess its the limiter?

I am all for safety, a guy in Mini Cooper trying to race me; spun out around a turn, crash into a house and basically died before my eyes.. He was just trying to be cool and pass/impress me because I guess cause he saw I had a newer red Mini also.. Witnessing that shows me that your life and driving commands a substantial risk..

That being said, I know most, if not all BMWs with the traction engaged and decent tires can cruising the city comfortable doing 140mph.. These M cars just glide, like a lizard on ice.. And it has the maneuverability to correct any inherent obstacles at high speeds..

As long as you know the car's limits and your're confident, nothing's wrong with getting a little M rush..

And the guy the Mini, I did some researched on his MY and I noticed the DSC option was $250 that year.. Not standard.. I'm assuming his vehicle didn't have it..

It's sad when life comes down to something so trivial..

Oh, and I've only done up to 130 mph, I start thinking about how much it will cost me if I get caught and back off the pedal.. Something mental I can't over but I can tell the car has the juice to go further..

Hit 140 again on the same road. This time I started earlier and so hit 140 earlier..... next time I'll try to 150.

Car is ultra stable at those speeds. Impressive.

Fastest MPH you have pushed your F80/F82

So last Sunday around morning on the turnpike I was cruising. Empty open highway, zero cars around me, my trusty uniden gave the all clear. I got her up to 157 for 8/9 seconds and shut her down but honestly felt like there was more in it. Car handled like it was going 55, silky smooth, easy power. When does the governor kick in? I have a tune and aftermarket exhaust.

Curious how fast you all have gone?

Cheers

Limiter is 155 I believe so you were at it unless the tune removed it.

Which tyres are you running that are rated over 186mph?

I ran just shy of 200 multiple times with my 335 on W rated tires which are "good" for 168. Keep in mind that's backed by the company and their insurance guaranteeing it will NOT blow at 168mph or under sustained at 30 minutes (not sure on the exact time) with a full load. You can surely do more than 168 "safely".

Just sounds risky to me. Y rated being 186 - an accident at speeds at that speed or above would be be catastrophic. You could have their warranty printed on your casket maybe?

Which track is that? I've been to 271 km/h (168 mph, twice) on the Autobahn during Euro Delivery but I've never gotten over ~140 at any of the CA tracks, not enough room on any of the straights. Or at Nurburgring Nordschleife, Circuit Park Zandvoort, or Spa Francorchamps either.
