One thing we can accomplish with burbles in a custom tune is I can make them react differently for different rpm’s and speed by mode. So for example, personally I like nice aggressive cracks when I downshift and rev above 4K but I like those to cut off after only 1 second. But then I like mild gurgles from 3k and below and for those the duration can be 2 sec. Then I also some gurgles right off idle at 1000-1500 rpm but to get that to work I have to get pretty aggressive with the negative burble timing in that range, and also set some of the rpm/gear cutoff tables to allow it. Anyway, my point is the burbles can get complicated if you really want to get specific about their behavior. I think it would be awesome if as a custom tuner I am able to “customize” the settings that the aggression slider applies. This way, the customer can have the overall burble behavior or “flavor” they prefer, but have the control to increase or decrease the intensity of them.

Paul
Good info. I’m sure there’s a lot that you and other tuners do for custom tunes and was just curious if something like what you mentioned was going to be an option for the platform. I like how my burbles sound now and i don’t plan on changing it. My custom tune right now is great!

So has anyone successfully made stage 1 burbles more aggressive with these sliders?

Maxed out the "aggressive" slider. Was expecting louder. They probably don't want to dump too much fuel, as it may foul cats. It's similar to standard stage one, but I like being able to customize the RPMs and cut out the warm-up phase (well, my neighbors like that).

Ah is there any chance you could post up your settings please? I just cannot get any adjustment on them at all. They just switch off

Aggression at 5 sounds so good guys! Duration at 2, about perfect for my taste.

I've posted this earlier but any of you showing "HAS UPDATE" on your map that you customized for burble?

Does it later change to downloaded as another member stated?

I'm still having the same issue where in Neutral the car sounds like the changes I've made but not while driving.

Same here just flashed stage 2 with custom burbles and they are gone while driving.
Did anyone had this problem and got it fixed?

I sent a map request to PTF for the custom changes I saved. I think they just a sent me a new file. I'll check if that works.

Received the updated tune from PTF but honestly on the CS, I can't hear a difference.

Tried the Stage 1 version 7 last night and changed to custom settings which worked right away.

Did it say "Downloaded" after saving the settings or "Has Update"?

Log out and wait a bit, should say one or the other eventually.

Sometimes, it takes a while to show up. At times, it didn't even give me a "Flash" option so I had to go out of maps and then go back to my maps. Not sure why it does that.

If it still doesn't work, click Req. Support and let PTF know.

I did this. Stock X3 35i save for a BMS intake. Turned everything in burbles to 11 and shit sounds redic. Probably going to turn it down soon so I don't burn up my cats.

It definitely dies in Eco, is barely there in comfort, and sport will get gunshotty if I really downshift high up.

So far no issues. Fingers crossed.

Can you only do this through the app or can you adjust on lap top?

I hate to say this. But all of these changes and issues with burbles just scares me.

What issues? I don’t think there are any right now plus they added all this crazy adjustable stuff that’s really awesome!
