BMW Drive Analyser vs. Race Render
Hey All,
I am trying to decide between the BMW Drive Analyser and Race Render/TrackAddict. I've used RaceChrono (didn't work for me). I've used Harrys (3 of 30 videos worked, and it was painful). Here is my equipment:
WHat I am looking for: Continue using GoPro6 (better quality video than my phone) Easy pre-track setup. Not just setup is easy, but allowing me to confirm it's working before getting on the track. Meaning, sitting in my garage or driving around the block It detects the start/stop of the track (similar to Harrys) Auto-start stop, or at least able to edit out the "wait" period while rolling onto the track (I wear gloves, so clicking start on my phone is hard with gloves on) Off-track -> As close to one click as possible for getting the data out of GoPro/phone to sync together. Obviously, removing any of the wait periods. I don't mind doing this, but it should be easy. With 20ish videos, it was hit or miss trying to figure out which video and which data point were the same, in Harrys Once the data is out, I will be adding music to it, some videos/pics of the paddock. The key thing is ease of use and hoping the data is accurate. From a conversation with a friend, it seems like BMW tool and analyser is the easiest. Track Addict looks like it might be great with Race Render. I just don't feel like spending more money and being disappointed.

With BMW having slowed down the sampling rate, the great M-Laptimer has now essentially become useless. I am therefore also considering the M-Performance Drive Analyser. My biggest question is how well it integrates with the GoPro?

See the two graphs below. The one taken from 2015 (on the right), you can clearly see what I'm doing with the throttle. The one from 2018 (on the left) is completely useless due to the low sampling rate.

Yea, that's terrible. Is it the same with the other software? Did you try another OBD sensor?
