DIY on fuel pump?
Hey guys I recently got the precision racing stage 4 fuel pump.
I thought it would be a simple take out the old one and put in the new one but I was wrong. There is a two other parts, a wiring harness and a few hoses. Can anyone here help and explain where the parts and hoses go to? Or should I just take it to a shop. I always prefer doing it myself so I learn something new. Attached a picture of what came with the box |

Take it to a shop. It looks like they need to install the new fuel line, set up the pressure regulator, and configure your current fuel lune as the return line. They also need to setup a boost line tap for the regulator.
Are you adding this to run PI?

Haven't seen a DIY for this yet, but it's doable over a weekend. The hardest part with a dual pump setup is getting it to go in the tank; I believe the shop who did my install had to drop the tank... The lines, filter, and Hobbs switch are fairly straightforward. Otherwise, expect shop rates to be around $700 to ~$1000 depending on where you're located.
Make sure the fittings match whatever you're teeing into for the LPFP line before getting too deep with the install. You can always call/text Gilbert if you have any questions about the install. He's super responsive when it comes to customer support. |

I will run PI in the future but just the fuel pump for now. My tuner said my LPFP was acting up.
