To me its all about diffuser. If CF diffuser go Titanium. If stock or Gloss diffuser go CF. CF + CF is well a lot of CF and IMO a bit hard to see.

I would agree in most cases, but we have some Remus pics being posted soon that might change your stance on this.

Correct. I lost my notes, but I remember it being roughly 18-20 lbs lighter when I installed one of these exhausts.

So the midpipe doesnt bolt right to the downpipes. Is there any reason to get the M-Perf mid pipes?

That weight reduction is no joke. Anything over 20lbs is significant IMO.

Very well put together post guys, appreciate the time that went into it.

Finally!

A SS M3 with MPE, Carbon tips and Carbon Spoiler. Waited a long time for someone to have this setup and looks better in the pictures than I thought. Only I would have silver 19" over the black

You're living my dream man, Congrats!

As for the weight difference, if the posted weight shows the difference of the OEM and MPE uninstalled then that should still be good enough comparison. Whatever additional weight that gets added when installed OEM/MPE shouldn't matter as much with simple math logic.

Not sure I follow your math/logic here

There is a non-negligible difference between 29lb and 18lb

The OP has since been modified to include the clamping hardware in the total weight, so the weight reduction now shows as 26lb. The remaining 8lb discrepancy probably comes from the secondary cats.

I was hoping somebody wouldn't ask me that.

It's very hard to decide between the two based on sound, they both sound equally awesome in their own ways. We've had both Akrapovic and MPE at our dyno days and not one person has been disappointed in sound.
