I am sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I am extremely interested in this flash instead of buying an MMI module. That is not required correct? No MMI is needed?

No mmi is required but the flash only work on certain MY. I think 2016 MY.

I have a 2016 428i, I know this is the M4 section of the forums, but correct me if I am wrong, this should still work for mine right? Same iDrive version as a 2016 M4 correct?

The iDrive systems are the same across 4 series, the thing you need to confirm is if you have NBT EVO (as opposed to NBT). This can easily be checked in the map version screen.

Ok, awesome! Thank you for getting back with me. I will be looking into this for sure. Definitely like the idea of just flashing it to the newer iDrive system.

Does anyone know if BimmerCode features will still work after flashing to iD6 + Full screen Apple CarPlay?

I plan on changing my turn signals to led (have a 2016 M3) and want to code them using BimmerCode but don’t want to mess up any programming.

Yes, all beside headunit can be coded with BimmerCode.. Everything in headunit I can code for you during the session.

No issues at all. Connected Drive is not affected/needed.

Shout out to kubax86 for getting me situated with a full ID4 to ID6 on my 16' M4. Now works flawlessly and the response time its much better for changing songs by being on carplay.
