yeah i got that, but you said you wanted to buy an M3 and turbo it.
Its already turbo'd. so yeah it in fact did seem like you didn't know it was already turbo'd.
Also the previous gen M3's were not turbo, so I thought you might have been confused. Are you a native english speaker? this might shed some light on the misunderstanding.
Lol yeah man. I'm just giving you shit and your giving me shit. I know it's turboed. But the f8X platform turbos are small. I said turboed it and meant actual nice turbos from either Garrett or pure

Yeah man I looked at the entire thing a few times. I don't know why I didn't find anything on the web but when you guys started commenting on many threads it all came together.
Only thing now is getting the car. Have the mod money ready but I'm hearing that a 2016 vs a 2017 are completely different cars due to the oil used. I was looking at a 2018 just as a precaution

Your car is running Meth right? I heard so many horror stories of the tanks leaking and stuff. Is yours pretty reliable?

Yea my build was pretty simple and we only used what was “needed” lol. You could get away without midpipe but I wanted to make some noise and be sure there wasnt any flow restriction. My cpo’d 18 was basically a brand new car and a solid choice imo if it’s in the budget. Only things I would recommend considering would be m3 so you have 4 doors which makes it more versatile and the competition package.

Yes its running methanol injection with bms 3 gallon stealth trunk tank and haven’t had a single issue other then it being empty often lol.

Out of curiosity, how much the equation here changes if you keep cats? Like a high flow catted DP?

Think of the downpipes and exhaust as a straw; oem cats you’re trying to drink a thick shake through it, high flow cats you’re drinking a thin shake and no cats you’re sucking air through it.

I get that, I'm asking more about the magnitude of power difference at this level. Do you lose 15hp? 50? More? Not possible to hit over 700 without melting the cats?

At the risk of going all Lazarus on this post, I wanted to make sure I had it straight as I'm looking at upgrading to PS2 HF next spring.

So in essence, a PS2 HF is capable of 700+WHP on 100% E85 on the stock fuel system? I know the stock system has issues up top when it comes to fueling on corn, but I'm trying to avoid the necessity of using PI or Meth as an alternate source if possible while still hitting the upper 600 to low 700 range. This post would seem to confirm it, but I also haven't found many other posted results for PS2's running E85 purely on the stock fuel system alone.

I suppose the biggest attraction in this case would be the utilization of a flex fuel tune such as what ECUtek offers and BM3 has in development; my line of rational being that it would offer a more "set it and forget it" tune that still allows for all the benefits that upgraded turbo's and E85 have without having to worry about secondary fuel sources.

Anybody running 100octane plus 50/50 meth injection with hybrid turbos? Or even ms109 with hybrid turbos? How much whp and tq? I'm interested in going the non e85 route.

Something doesn't add up with the mods list. Stock fuel system runs out of steam at around 630whp +/- without a supplemental fuel source.
Yes that's what I'm thinking. I think it was running meth as the Dyno sheet says under the run ID.
No way he is pushing 740 without meth or PI.

740 run says meth in ID? 🤔

I don't think I've seen anyone pushing 700 nor running full E85 with upgraded turbos without supplemental fueling. It appears the most recommended option for that setup would be to run E50ish and that seems to be in the 650-680 range. Could you run full E85? I suppose so, but it would probably be a mild tune and not as powerful as E50 with higher boost. I've looked into it quite a bit since E50 is my next move while I figure out which direction to go with fueling.

That's what I was trying to figure out myself. Stock injectors and fuel system being what they are I assumed that they would be taxed out well before the 700whp mark on E85, but I'm having difficulty finding any definitive evidence that points to the true limits.

There was some initial testing done by F80Paul
(https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1442249) that seemed to point in the right direction, but no dyno numbers were posted as a follow up. And while I realize that chasing numbers without a delta is basically like chasing your tail, it would be nice to have a general idea of what Pures and E85 on the stock fuel system is capable of.

He also recommends E50 with stock fuel system.
