Dps Review

I was interested in the DPs but read this forum and decide not to buy them, after a visit to my local tuning shop he said DPs are the best upgrade on the S55 platform, at first I thought he was just trying to sell me a pair he got in the shop, and i also believe terry`s Knowledge, my tuner, said he will install them for free if I try them, finally I agree, He dyno my car without Dps and it was 426 whp then he install it and the car trow 479 wph. That day I drove my car hard and it was a beast DPs completely transformed S55 Bmw. I post this just to show how forums donīt always tell the true, donīt believe all what people say on the internet, many forums are controlled by aftermarket companies, what a coincidence BMS donīt sell DPs and terry openly said they donīt get you any power, may be a marketing strategy to make you think about other upgrades intakes or even a JB4, what in the reality donīt give you that much improvement but they sell them. I will make an other post to review the JB4 and be sure your will be dissappointed.

Here is the dyno graph thats prove my word. run 1 was completely stock and run 2 just with DPs, same day, same dyno, same weather just like 1 hour diference.

My Dps were fabricated by a local company called billet motorsport in the USA.

Haha! I am sorry, but zero chance that downpipes only gave you 53 whp... There must be a tune added to that as well.

save some money and get a set of VRSF pipes are something like the ARM resonated pipes. there is zero need to spend $1,000+ on two metal pipes with a couple of welds.

I recently switch back to my OEM DP's and exhaust for my first service.
My car was boring to drive and felt lazy.
After the service, my first changes were DP and exhaust and my car felt so much better - more responsive and felt faster (although I could have been fooled by the ear porn). Even so, decatted DP's are a must do for me...
You also have the advantage of freely throwing MMT into your fuel as well.

I just bought the VRSF catless dp's, but now that I see the ARM resonated, I'm kinda wishing I would have gone that route to reduce some rasp. I haven't installed them yet so I'm not sure if they will be raspy or not.
