I saw the banged up Audi too.... looks like somebody on PCH slammed in to it while it was parked and left it there to die.

Nice post!
I may also be making a similar trip but the other direction -- from NYC to SF. I'm considering 2 routes, a northern route or a southern route.

Love the thread and pics...except for the picture of your car off the ground by way of four floor jacks!!!! This is completely unsafe, unprofessional and frankly...just plain "Jacked Up!"

Car looks siiick! I've only gotten to see it outside of Oneighty on the stock rims. Looking forward to seeing on the customs next time I'm getting my car washed.

I just killed 45 minutes reading this post! THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT! That's right - you can't stroll thru SoCAL and not get your nails done. Funny, the pix right after that was you getting all dirty again. I'm surprised you didn't take the M5 around the Fontana Speedway track.
Very cool shots! I did stole some pix and saved them as wallpapers.....--- THE CARS -- ...not your girlfriend. |

Great post. Love your description of the trip as not a vacation and not a business trip. Just be yourself and live life for a week or two in a new setting, meet new people and soak everything in. Juggling all the logistics & mods with the car sound stressful, but you're already looking back on it as a great life experience. on to the next one...!
cheers!! |

Awesome story!
Sucks about the wheel though. Reminds me of my euro delivery when I picked up my new M3 and literally 20 minutes later pulled into a tight underground garage and curbed my rear wheel. It happened just as I was turning on my top view cameras since I knew it was tight with the curb, but some bs warning message was on the screen.. Lol.. So I know that feeling |
