Why nobody takes their own car to a dyno and expect someone else to do everything?
You guys know some cars make more and some cars make less ?

Find a Dynojet and hit it u will learn a lot about your own car too.
If you want tips or advice on Dyno before going PM me

If you can't get to a Dyno ... Remember there is always www.virtualdyno.net.

I'm the author and it supports Bootmod3 logs. Also contemplating an M3 in the next few months. So y'all might see more of me.

Will this work with MHD logs as well? Definitely a bargain at the price of a lousy cup of coffee!

If you want to use MHD logs you can use the desktop app. It's cheaper at the price of ... FREE.

SUp ya'll long time stalker first time poster. I dyno'd my F82 6mt got an average of 498
whp. Mods injen int, stock downpipes, track exhaust no res, and a 550 tune on 93. do you think i could add another 30-40whp if i upgrade the front heat exchanger and swap out to cat less down pipes? i just up graded to a carbon gts hood not that its gonna make more HP. (its on its way to the shop to get painted so excited) My thinking is cooler air more power. i'm sticking with stock top mount. Im in south FL so its hot af here.

Catless DPs will add power and increase responsiveness of your manual trans.
Go back to stock airboxes with BMC filters for lowest IATs and great airflow from up front. Any under hood intake adds heat. Front mounts sound cool, but get wet (those Florida downpours).
FMIC and TMIC not needed, stock parts work great (just check res weekly to watch for leaks). Replace stock plastic CPs only if they break.

Was your 498 dyno number from a wheel roller, bolt-on pods, or the dash gauges?

Attached is my dyno on my 16 ZCP 6MT. I have drop-in filters and the OTS2 93 octane tune. Numbers were really impressive to me.

Definitely contemplating a midpipe and downpipe combo next for some better sound and top end power.

Yeah those are some strong numbers from a stock car running an OTS stage 2.

I'm running a OTS stage 2 as well but haven't installed the BMCs yet. I will get it dynoed when my new suspension is installed. Considering going to a Jordan custom tune as well.

Hot damn! 528/538 is impressive, and shows how good a stocker can get. Pipes don't really open up the top end...our turbos mainly boost from 4-6K.

Holy smokes. That might be a new record. Highest dyno F80 on a 93 tune.

The car was in NJ, but on May 5th. It was roughly 58-62 degrees that day so not too hot or cold.

I have really hesitated to modify the car further because it feels so damn fast right now that going to upgraded turbos with additional lag and concern for breaking things for extra power hardly seems worth it at this power level.

Hey Electric,
Did you happen to log the runs? It would be nice to see the temps and how the timing was reacting. I always try and log my dyno runs to review the interaction of the engine with the tune. Was it on good 93 only and no additives like E85 or booster? Either way impressive & love the way the DME adapted up to the tune

No, it was done during Covid so I was not there, the shop that did the work and tune was MaxPSI (BimmerClinic) in South Amboy. They sent me a video and the dyno sheet!

Fuel was Shell 93, I don't put anything else in the car and on additives or boosters. I never feel that is a good idea especially since what if you have to fill up and don't have the booster then you are tuned with a non-primary fuel that could cause knock and issues. Just personal $0.02!
