MAF Sensor Not Clipped On
So I just changed my spark plugs and in order to do it, I had to remove my passenger side intake. When I took off the plug to the maf sensor, the plastic bump that clips the plug in snapped off. So now the plug is just on with friction. It doesn't seem like it's going to pull out and its on tight but is this something I can just use electrical tape and secure it, or should I just buy a new maf sensor?

Lol..
Electrical tape will not work as the heat from the bay will loosen the tape. In the interim use a couple daisy chained cable ties around the intake pipe and plug. You could use a dab of Tarzan grip or similar to add more friction to the plug mating surfaces since u appear to be more inclined to a bandaid fix. Ultimately I would replace the sensor as that is the logical decision.

Got it. Thanks for the advice guys! I just ordered a new one.
The clip is on the back of the sensor itself on the female side. |
