Good choice, it's one of the nicer sounding exhaust that are higher pitched. It is well constructed also. Carbon fiber tips or standard?

Atm Slanted Titanium unless I get a very good price for CF slanted.

I wanted something close with MPE in terms of sound but MPE is missing "it" for me. Remus has it, and since I won't be selling the whole re-sale thing isn't a problem for me. Remus is tame enough even with Cat-Back in Efficient mode apparently, and changes during Sport. I don't have valve controller so I won't have to worry about the loud open valve Cold Start.

Well hopefully you can get a good price on carbon tips, because they look real good. I'm so use to the cold start, valves open all the time with my AWE. I decided to close them yesterday and the exhaust sounded so tame but still louder than stock. I hope to hear the remus exhaust ser up in person again since I will be switching exhausts soon once again and also changing my wheels set up one more time.

lol

I tend to avoid doing so that is why I don't buy things quick. Once I settle on something I just stay with it. I'm probably going to hear Axle Back Remus this weekend so.

I usually dont buy used parts...but new MPE is way too costly especially with carbon tips! Crossing fingers the Deal works out!

I have MPE and the loud cold start is the best! Turning the car on in the garage with valves open triggers like 12 car alarms. That feeling is the best...!

On the other hand, I didn't realize that downpipes changed the way the exhaust sound performance. I thought it just made it louder lol

The summary of my findings is that you will really only get two types of noise i.e. Deep vs high pitched. AWE, AA, Akra, Remus are more at the deeper end with IPE, FI and Armytrix at the other end with higher pitch noise.

You then need to decide if you just want a moderate noise level all the time of whether you want to have extra loud and OEM loud. If you want the extra loud option get a valved exhaust.

Then it all comes to price point.

All said and done I personally think the Remus is a great all round purchase as looks awesome, has the valves and the noise is good. The only down side is the brand image and maybe that isn't actually justified with this product.

As a vendor, i would much rather have a customer that asks me a million questions rather than someone that buys a product without any knowledge or info.

The customer thats asks a million question will be a happy customer after the purchase because he knows exactly what he is getting.

Customers who just buy without any research are often disappointed because they soon realize there was a better option for them.

I had a customer complain that the GThaus full exhaust with downpipe is too loud. he was expecting it to be daily driver friendly

Owning a wrx and Evo years ago, exhausts were't priced at 3k+ so I didn't mind taking a chance on something. I also don't want to half ass it with a cat-back on this car; I'm going to do it once and forget it until it's time to sell the car. I just need to find something I really love. Plus I have 2 little ones I drive around so the sound can't be too over bearing.

Full Remus Slanted Chrome Tips, website says retail 3.7k. CF tips are 4.4k.

I'm not sure on Axle Back because I'm pretty settled on doing Full Remus. I think Axle Back is like 2k-3k range.

Mind you Remus is valved too, and compared to other valved system they are a LOT less.
