Look at my picture. It is CAFD_00001EF6_006_018_014 and E-Sys 3.27.1, and the FDL Code is there. You cannot claim it is not.

I suggest updating your E-Sys Launcher, as maybe your version has outdated CAFD Mapping Database, and possibly this FDL Code is not being mapped for you.

Someone can answer my questions? Or has someone successfully coded it to a F30 or maybe F80?

I only changed the HMI_VERSION to id6_light and it now shows a G30 5series. My I-step is 61.2...

There is nothing to code. If software on vehicle has more appropriate image, you would see it.

I can confirm this behaviour. I used E-Sys 3.27.1, pszdata 61.5 and Premium Launcher 2.4.3 but couldn't see FDL parameter HMI_ID_VERSION.

With Premium Launcher 2.7.1 I saw the correct value, due to correct mapping :-)

Version of PSdZ on computer only needs to be greater than or equal to vehicle I-Slep. Vehicle firmware though is what matters, not computer if your want correct chassis displayed.

P.S. you should update launcher for newest mapping.

I thought that at least the v61.2 would contain a 3series LCI or something comparable.

I retrofitted idrive 5 and have the latest software for the head unit and it shows a 3 series. I asked the guy who did it and he says they don't have an f80 specific picture.

Hi everyone!
I get some issue when trying to coding ID6_light. I coded a lot of option before and absolutely sure that done everything in right way. BTW after coding
"HU_NBT2: HMI_ID_VERSION id6_light" I get:
1) Loses my NAV (when i push nav menu button NBT ask me to put USB inside with activation code
2) Some error in RHEINGOLD (E07C0A;E07C13;E12C20 !!lose my KAFAS?!!!;E71404;E1405)
3) NO new interface at all

BMW M4 2016 (NBT_EVO)

Any suggestions?

UPD: KAFAS show speed limit sign but just 500m, I think that because after 500m it receive the information from NAV. If NAV doesn't activated it just read road sign.
UPD2: After some walk around all error in RHEINGOLD go away but NAV still not work and ask insert USB.

UPD3: As I understood BMW has some Repair FSC code maybe somebody may help with that for my NBT? My Last 7 letter VIN is K455973

You have NBT2 ID4. You cannot just code it to be ID5/ID6. This is why your 120 Map FSC Code is now Rejected. Revert back to factory coding to fix it.

I dunno if this is true but when I emailed bimmertech, they said they could flash your head unit as long as it was an nbt evo unit with 2gb and give you id5 but they couldn't promise stability.

ID4 Hardware has 2 Gb of Ram. ID5 has 4 Gb. If you flash ID4 Hardware with ID5 Firmware, it will run slow, and suffer frequent reboots as it does not have enough memory. You will also need new ID5 Map FSC Code, which is expensive. Also, unless car has a functional ATM module, you will loose all Telemtics (e.g. RTTI).

As a possable solution completly change NBT to the newest with ATM module. In Russia a lot of tuning shop give this opportunity.

But I think it is not good for car. As i understood many difference between two NBT including electrical issue (8.5w against 12w)

Am I right?

You can retrofit anything including ATM, although there are SIM card ESN / IMEI issues to deal with in order to get working Telematics.

Only Voltage difference is the APIX2 CID Connection, and there are cheap and readily available Voltage Regulators for this.

Personally though, I would not want new car car with NBT2 ID4 flashed to ID5 and a Donor ATM module. Besides having RAM issues, you can forget about getting dealer service where programming is needed without flashing back to ID4 and putting original ATM back.
