Thanks for the video! 100% on the analog gauges section, absolutely HATED the screen on my G82. Felt so great to get back into the F80/82 with the sweeping dials. All I need now is to find a nice deal on some G82 carbon buckets and I'm set!

Their comments about in gear acceleration being roughly similar between the cars is a sentiment I've always echoed. Without the AWD trick/hole shot, there really isn't much between the cars in straight line speed. I was hard pressed to find much of a difference in straight line acceleration between my G82 Comp (non X) and the F82 Comp which it replaced. Maybe a hair quicker in the new car, but nothing I'd notice with my eyes closed.

F80/82/83 fo lyfe!

matt farah does a really good job of hitting the points here on how the g80 feels at lower speeds and lack of excitement

Yeah, my only problem with this comparison is not using an F80 Comp DCT. Had they compared this F80 against a manual G80, it would have made way more sense. Obviously G80 x-drive is still winning in straight line speed, but the matchup here didn’t make much sense.

I agree with nearly everything in the video except for the complaints about the carbon buckets. I love everything about those seats.

I've never sat in the carbon buckets but I'm generally not a fan of bucket seats and I definitely don't want a crotch holder.

DCT comp would've been a fairer comparison indeed.

But they probably wanted show that you can have more fun for less with a less powerful manual car. Idk

I love the buckets too. The seating position with them in the M3/4 is 100% spot on...

Agreed, I sit a good 2 inches lower now. Best of both worlds, who needs a G80?

Woah - what’s the story here? How easy is this and does everything work?

Please check out the thread below, should answer everything you need to know!

Everything works except for seat memory (which I've never used in my life anyway). For the G8x cars the seat memory buttons are on the door unlike F8x cars where the seat memory buttons are on the seat itself. Everything else is 100% functional with the Eurowerkss kit. Page 2 in the thread below is where I really get into my experience with the kit.
