Issue buying factory Heritage Edition Wheels
I have a 2020 M4 Heritage Edition in Velvet Blue. The car came with the style 666 wheels in Orbit Grey. I'm trying to buy a new factory wheel from the local dealer and my VIN pulls up wheels that have a polished finish in their parts system. I got them to order one to confirm and it was a polished silver finish and not the Orbit Grey. No one at the dealer can figure out what wheel to sell me. They tried another part number and the wheel was a 666 with a chrome black finish.
Has anyone else been able to purchase a new wheel for a Heritage Edition that matched the Orbit Grey finish? If so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to paint all four some other color so they match. Thanks |

Someone can correct me but I believe the orbit grays only came on the heritage edition years ago, hence the rarity. I know you said you don't want to paint them but the finish doesn't seem too hard to replicate, looks like a sort of satin gunmetal.

Update... the dealership could not figure out the correct shade of grey and they could not find another Heritage Edition locally to compare to. So I gave up and had them powder coat all 4 gloss black. Actually turned out rather well as the car already had some gloss black parts like the grill, bottom of the side mirrors, window trim, etc... Would not have painted the wheel had I not had this issue but like the end result. Sorry the car is so dirty looking. It is pollen season in Houston and my neighborhood has a ton of trees. Every thing is covered in pollen. Happens every year.
