Intake manifold question

There’s this plastic piece that goes onto the intake manifold that doesn’t go anywhere yet there’s two sensors on it. One on the top and one on the rear. 3 cables end up attaching to these sensors. Does anyone know what these sensors are for. I’m assuming to close a circuit?? But does anyone know exactly what circuit it closes? Can’t find anything anywhere on these two sensors. Or the cables that plug into it and why.

Update: so I figured out the one on the rear when disconnected will make your engine oil temp sensor located under the intake manifold not work. So it’s somehow intertwined with that.
