I can’t believe this isn’t a feature from the factory. Can’t really complain and I absolutely love auto-rev match but flatfoot shifting would have been great.

this has been a thing on MHD for a while. It is absolutely awesome. The sound on WOT shifts is really cool

One of the things I hate the most about my 6MT F80, is how it always has a post shift delay when driving hard. It always feels like the car is not in immediate boost right after a fast up shift. This happens in Sport+ for me, as well as the other modes. I will mention (in case it matters), that I have Rev Match turned on in Sport+ through BM3.

Initially I thought it might be CDV valve related and removed that, but no change.

Is this shift feature the only way to address this issue.

While I don’t shift that fast often, it’s a really annoying delay when I do.

I have found it tough to adapt to shifting without lifting have tried a few times and it's very clunky. Could just be me.

Well guys I guess I have good news, sort of. I reached out to bm3 over the weekend to ask about the status of the no lift shift feature. They told me essentially that they are working on it and that it will be released this year. Zanin told me that due to some big releases they had recently that it caused some delays but they are planning on releasing NLS this year. Not the typical “two weeks” time frame we get from them but at least it’s something.

MHD has been catching my eye lately and I like that their app/tunes seem to be allow more freedom to the end user than the bootmod3 one. I might be giving it a try in the mean time to compare. Still prefer bm3 but would like to see how the car feels with MHD as well. I’m thinking of doing a comparison between the two maybe even include some dyno runs as well as NLS comparison once bm3 is ready.

Any updates on this? I’m so ready to switch to MHD for NLS.

I just asked them and here is what they replied:

"At this time we do not have a firm ETA but it is being worked on.

Thanks,

Tommy"

Just switch to MHD. I made the switch and am kinda of mad I didn’t do it sooner. PTF doesn’t seem to care enough about us manual guys to want to make any progress on this.

If you don't have a dogbox tranny with PPF gears, I would leave this mod alone. The stock transmission gears were not built for this mod. That would go for most stock manual transmissions.
