F82 M4 Diff whine possible recall??

Hi all,
I have a 2016 bmw m4c that has developed a faint whine that has slowly got louder, i believe it is the diff as its a constant whine and doesnt go depending on gears or in neutral or not, ive had a look and it seems bmw have a recall from 12th may 2016 - 12 july 2016 for diff failure, mines a 10th may 2016 one, anyone experienced anything similar? Ill be in contact with bmw in the morning to ask

Does it go away when you’re in gear, off throttle? Mine has always done this, I think it may be normal. Changed diff oil made no difference. Interested in what BMW says
