EDC coding with Tractive Touring setup?
Anyone out there have feedback on coding their tractive suspension?
CS vs OEM? I have a non CS/ZCP car with Tractive Touring. Considering the CS coding for it. |

CS makes a noticeable difference on base models which use different EDC dampers from CS & ZCP models.
Resetting the running time memory also makes a difference but periodically resetting running time should keep the TracTive dampers from working the way they were designed to work (see pages 12 and 15 in the EDC section of the attached document): https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/at...7&d=1488750127 and the second link that shows you what the ista screen reset looks like (actually it’s for the e92 M3 but f8x is similar): https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpo...77&postcount=9 It’ll make a small difference in how the min damping works (close to 2 V, or dropped EDC ~1.5 to 2.0 V output due to increasing min damping from the running time program) but not how the max damping (close to 0 V output) works. If you run volt meters connected to EDC dampers, you can find roads with min damping output works on roads with min damping. Knowing roads where adjusted min damping output allows you to feel/sense these subtle changes in EDC min damping output especially when making changes to min damping output only on TracTive min damping. |
