There was some misinformation (or poorly worded info) in the other thread, so it's best we kick off a new thread with official photos.

Basically, the M3 receives LED tail lights and updated iDrive. All other mechanical components should stay the same and no information has been released on a Competition Package, if any. There should also be some new Individual colors.

The more minor changes are listed in mkoesel's post directly below.

For convenience, here is the list of interior changes that should carry over to the M3:

◾New ambient lighting
◾New chrome accents - seat adjustments, window controls, air vents
◾Trim finisher in instrument panel expands into all four doors

Damn! That's it?? I held off from ordering a 15, and was in hopes of a comp pkg. Not sure if that was worth it now?

It seems like they are trying to ruin this car with bad colors...

Can you comment on whether champagne quartz and smoked topaz will be added to individual?

Will any standard or metallic colors be added?

Subjectivley you're right, objectively if a DIY leads to some sort of failure can it be used against me to void my warranty if not done by BMW via update? I'd be less apprehensive with the other coding, sound, NAV, lighting, etc, but when it comes to keeping me parallel to the road, I get a bit wary.

And as a related question, if they are standard now, are they a lesser form of standard LED headlights, while leaving full adaptive LED's as a continued option?

Or are full adaptive LED's now standard?

Used in the early 40s to control epileptic fits, effectively putting people to sleep, I doubt they will fly by U.S. Auto law safety regulations.

F30 gets HUD as it's own stand-alone option now. Does the F80 get the HUD stand-alone option as well?

Even if competition package was added it wasn't worth a wait, let alone this. So now people wsit another year in hopes of competition package? Had I waited two years thst would be nuts.

I think I prefer the 2015 lights to these.

Then the people that waited for the 2017 will decide to wait another year for the G20(or whatever). And repeat.
