If this came to the US in the hatchback sportback form, I'd be all over it.

too small. i enjoy my F80 as a DD because of the practicality it provides. the RS3 is not enough. if it were to come in a hatchback i'd consider it.
ideally i would cross shop the F80 with an RS4, but we know Audi will never let that happen.

I'd consider the RS3 if it was offered with a manual (insert "broken record" emoji here), which of course will likely not happen. That would be a pretty sweet car.

I don't think they are. And IMO, any enthusiast-oriented spec, regardless of the number of doors or configuration, should have a 6MT option. The last Audi I had was a 5.2L V10 S8 and to be fair, 3 pedals wouldn't have changed it a bit. It was what it was. Stick wouldn't have helped. My prior S6 Avant, on the other hand, would have benefited greatly from a factory 6MT but nooooo. Those guys were too stoopid to even build their RS6 sedan with a stick. The tiptronic is why I never even considered it. RS4 was last great car they built for sale here in U.S. Cancelled my RS5 order when they announced no stick. Same for me with Alfa.

Absolutely ready to make a move on one of these when they're available. It's the right size, 4 doors, weight isn't awful, has traction for days, and sounds great.
I'd consider an M240i xDrive, but I'd prefer to stick with a sedan. CLA45 AMG wouldn't be awful, but I'm not really into the 4 cylinder. Otherwise, there's not much out there in that segment. I'm open to opinions on the above or other suggestions though. Canadian pricing is known ($62,900 CAD) but not US yet. 55K-ish is probably a safe bet.
