Jack that can reach front center pont?
Does anyone have a long reach / low profile jack that can reach the front center jack point? To more easily get the car up on stands, without needing to drive up on a 2x4 etc. Factory comp pkg ride height.
Bonus points if anyone has ramps that work that are cheaper than race ramps. Thank you! |

Thanks, I have their lightweight racing jack and shopping for another. Just wondering if I'm gonna buy another anyway, is there any out there that can get to the front center jack point on their own?
Good point on remembering to pull out the center jack before lowering. Definitely see myself forgetting that as I'm wrapping a job. Maybe worth putting some ramps under the wheels to be safe. Or at least 2x6s but would worry about knocking out of place while working. Anyone know of a good set of cheaper ramps for that purpose that you can still drive onto and might also be useful for basic oil changes etc? Seems like rhino ramps will not work with our cars but not sure. |

It’s a pretty decent distance from the bumper to the jack point even more so if you have a front lip. Plus if your car is lowered the low profile HF jack won’t get far enough since the rear of the jack is higher than the front.
I have the same HF long reach and a standard and do the technique above. I’m saving for a quick jack so I don’t have to deal with the 2 jack roulette anymore. |

I bought the Megan Racing ramps for $60 on Amazon. They’re smaller in person, but work well to get to the front jackpo8nt with my Harbor Freight aluminum 3 ton jack.

It's kind of a pain because it's an extra step, but I jack from the rear driver position high enough to get a jack under the front driver position which gives me room to jack from front center. Hopefully you're using jack-stands so you have those and you can get the car up with only one jack.

Not cheap by any means - Quickjack.
I was lucky enough to find two used ones within a month of each other. Now my DE car co owner and I both have a set. |

Those jackpoints are cool but $500 a pair is crazy. I see a quickjack in my future but will wait for a sale, cant quite justify $1500 especially given the majority of work I'll be doing is just swapping wheels and brakes. Hope costco carries them again.
For a typical DE would you say the quickjacks are saving you a material amount of time if you're just swapping wheels, brake pads, and bleeding brakes ahead of the event? Vs just jacking up each corner |
