DCT Knocking

Hello, I’ve recently got a sort of knocking sound from the DCT area sort of “tum tum tum” noise which increases by accelerating.

the noise is there when you coast or maintain the same speed at around 80kmh I’ve changed the oil and filters around 2k kms ago,the filter kit is from MEYLE ( 2 filters, pan gasket and new hardware and the oil is OEM and all the oil change and oil calibration was done with ISTA and got my diff changed aswell to a brand new one recently

Car has 115k kms

Has anyone experienced this ?

I'm no DCT expert, can you post a vid? Are you saying the frequency of the noise increases as speed increases (i.e., it sounds related to rotation in the drivetrain somewhere)? Also, does the noise persist if you put the DCT in N at that speed? (Maybe find a longer downhill to try so you can keep in N but maintain about the same speed).

Double check the hand brake cable and the clip. Sometimes the clip breaks and then the cable touches the drive train and makes noise.

Was the fluid under 32C when doing the ISTA service function?

Yes the noise is still present in neutral
I tried recording but the noise is not captured by the iPhone

I’ve doubled checked the clip but it’s not the same noise as I’ve already seen in a couple videos related to that clip

Yes the procedure was done exactly as demanded on ISTA
