Free bump..

Not sure why are trying to sell the car for 55 if you have a 50k trade in offer. Considering Chicago/IL tax is 10% you are basically getting the same amount. I would personally trade it in and avoid the trouble as it will be hard to sell this car for 55k.

Also if you are trying to trade it in do it soon. Chicago dealers will start discounting all "summer" trade-in cars as they will sit on the lot till March-April.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s not that I’m looking to trade in the car, I just happened to almost go through with a deal last month and that’s what they offered me. I’m not looking for a new car anymore, but I’m considering selling 1 car in the garage just to simplify a little bit. But this car has been a joy to own, and I’m happy to hang onto this car another year if nobody’s interested. It’ll still have under 11k miles by then most likely.

I fully realize this car might be too low of miles/too high of a price for a used buyer at the moment. It’s kind of in a unique and awkward spot right now for resale, but that’s ok to me. Someone might be looking for a very lightly used car, and doesn’t want to bother with a lease. I’m just putting my car out there just in case. Not aggressively selling or anything, but happy to let go in case someone happens to be interested.

If I take them off they'll crack and be worthless to you. I appreciate the offer, but to anyone who might be eyeing a part out, every part installed on the car is staying on the car for a good reason. I already took off everything I could, with the exception of the wheel spacers and Euro CS tail lights.

Wheel spacers are up to the future buyer.

CS tail lights are currently not included in the sale, but will be only if I sell my OEM LED tail lights beforehand. Otherwise, I'll continue to drive the car and enjoy it as I built it.

Thanks for the bump though

Update: I ended up selling my stock tail lights yesterday, so the Euro M3 CS tail lights are now included with the purchase of the car.

After adding everything up, it comes out to ~$7800 in mods/accessories included with the sale of car. I just drove the car yesterday, and even with cloth seats, the car still has the brand new leather smell. Don't pass this one up!

Price drop. I'm re-evaluating things, and I'm ready to send the car to a new home. Would be a shame to dump this to a local dealer, the paint and interior are in such good shape.

I'm getting version 2 of my equalized length exhaust fabbed up this week, should open up and really make the car sound incredible. New owner will have 2 muffler options depending on their taste in sound levels. I'll post a video once I get it back. Best sounding F80 out there in my opinion.

Interesting car/price.

Any dyno data before/after the exhaust change to determine any impact (positive or negative) ?

Exhaust tuning is about more than just tone, it is about pressure pulse timing that can create efficiencies in exhaust evacuation... or inefficiencies if done wrong.

Generally, what interests me [yes, i'm interested] about a stripper car is the fact that i can upgrade it for my own purposes without overpaying for "dealer option bloat". Therefore, knowing that the mods that have been done already are in line with my goals, is a must-have.

Thanks in advance !

Cheers,
_ Garrett

No dyno time. Given how efficient the stock exhaust is, any gains other exhausts give at stock power levels are from deleting 2nd cats (which this does), and even then it isn't much at all. That, and it was always my intention to keep the car at stock power, so scheduling a dyno pull with both exhausts just isn't on my priority list.

I'm not an engineer, but what I can say about this system is that the entire reason this exhaust sounds the way it does is due to equalizing the lengths from both sides before merging, thus making the pulses evenly spaced out (unlike the stock exhaust and any other exhaust currently on the market for this model). I'm not going to claim my car does anything right or wrong without a dyno pull, but I've already explained above why I never had it done.

No problem, and I completely understand your position. With that said, in case it wasn't obvious, I've modified this car with diligent restraint, for a number of reasons. I've also priced my car as if the car was stock - the modifications have not been used to push the price up at all. My asking price is based off of a couple of recent local dealer offers to buy my car straight up with no trade in (which were very close to my asking price), combined with my research on this forum, KBB, and local online listings.

There are also a few "nice-to-haves" on this car currently as it sits. Nothing game changing, but that was never my intention either. The Euro CS Tail lights, MP HAS, and exhaust are the standouts, but if someone would rather not take a car home with 2 exhausts, I'd be more than happy to put the stock system back on for a committed buyer (although after hearing both, I'm not quite sure why one would want to )

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me your number and we can go from there.

Curious on differences with Euro CS tails vs US spec? I think in the US cars the CS is same as base and ZCP M3 and only M4 CS gets OLEDs.

Beautiful car btw - GLWS
