Happy to be corrected.
MaxPSI two piece design was to allow fitment without removing the oil pan. This allowed the first half to be installed and chain lined up and then second half to be installed and then visually make sure the chain lines up from looking down from the head. Over time installers found dropping the pan allowed easier access and also ensured that the chains were seated. The theory was a quicker and cheaper install time. Nothing to do with cost saving on the milling.

Because the 2 piece design is easier to install.

Is this hub for real? Machining quality looks like it came out from Lord of the Rings Orcs workshop. I hope this is not original Insane Performance hub, which looks way more quality item. Teeth profile is way off from OEM as well.

Gitani is a higher quality piece but it's more expensive.
I went with the insane hub because I felt it's sufficient and most likely won't fail. The sprocket isn't as pretty but it seems to be perfectly functional. You can get the hub for less money than the 900$ asking price on eBay. Just email them and and barter directly. I was able to get a couple hundred off |

I can personally vouch for the insane performance hub. I've installed about 20 hubs with no fitment issues. I have about 5 clients pushing around 650-700whp and have sustained no structural damage to the hub. I've seen rods get thrown and the hub still holding strong.

OK, I need to ask again. Do you spot any differences between these two hubs?
Left one is Insane Performance hub image from their official eBay account and the right hand side mongrel is apparently apparently same thing, believe it or not. |

One looks dirtier than the other. The top sprocket on the non official photo looks slightly strange like more flat. Below is a photo of the one I got

Here's a few photos of my stock hub that came off.i was running a cbc from h2m.
Been running stage 2 tune for over 2 years. No hint of slippage or impending slippage here. The only thing I see is the gears are slightly worn. About 50k miles |

The insane marketing photos has the same profile for both sprockets so comparing to the oem I would say the marketing photo is incorrect.
