Pagid RSC1 for track use

Curious if anyone has run the Pagid RSC1 pads with the stock CCB rotors? How were they on the track? Assuming not a devoted track car, do you leave them on for street use? How is that experience. I drive minimally on the street and it would be nice not to have to swap after every track day.
If you aren't using RSC1 for track use, what are you?

I use the RSC1s but not on the M3 however my observation after 6 track days on them is that they take time to warm up but once warm, they are progressive and predictable. They do not engage ABS quick which is a plus and the application is linear. This is on my testing on my 458.

The Good:
Check out PFC-08’s, I’ve had them on my M4 for 11 track days, 6 days at COTA & about 8k miles since installed. The shop I go to inspected them and said I have 2-3 more weekends of track life. Cold bite is great, guys that have driven my car comment they need track pads. I have had track pads on cars that were scary the first few times you tried to slow, these bite hard when cold.

Reality:
They squeal all the time, soft street stops, some on hard track stops. They are very consistent, street and track. All track pads have pad slap.

Would I buy again: Yes!!

I don't think you can use regular track pads like the PFC-08 on CCB matrix rotors.

I'm pretty sure you're correct that the pfc08 are for iron rotors. From what I can tell the RSC1 is most appropriate for what I'm trying to do

I used them on my Mclaren. They're good performance wise but once they get about half thickness they will accelerate wear on the rotors.

I used them on the street as well since I drove it so little. The initial bite was superior on the street vs the OEM.

I've used the RSC1 pads two track days so far and they are performing as expected. Good initial bite, handle heat well, good release. The track I was at the two days isn't hard on brakes so I can't really comment on wear, rotor/pads, yet.

I haven't driven around town much with the pads but the few miles I have they seem to be acceptable and I won't have to swap out before each event (I don't drive much around town anyways).

Although a bit off topic as you're talking iron rotors whereas OP was asking about CCBs, I suggest you try the PFC11 pad next time. It's a racier compound than the 08 but has some magic pixie dust on it and is somehow quieter on the street.

There isn't any noise with street driving at all

I made the choice to get RSC1 and is there any break-in on the compound to the rotor like a conventional iron rotor? From what I can find there is nothing. Pagid, BW, no one has an answer. What did you guys do?

Finally got the answer to break in. It is the same as conventional pads. For those of you who are fretting using the OEM rotors Jim Emmerson at TMD (Pagid) turned me on to https://www.surfacetransforms.com/ and highly recommends their rotors because a lot of Nissan, P, Ferrari, McLaren, track users are replacing them with a lot of success and are WAY cheaper than OEM Brembo. HOWEVER they do not make a conversion for the F8x platform. If we bombard Bimmerworld and Surface Transforms with requests then maybe...I have already started in on Bimmerworld.

I am also thinking to exchange the oem pads as they leave a film on the rotors after Track use.
I am afraid how hard they are to the rotors...

News? After using RSC1 in the front I am going to RSC2 in F/R. 1 was not that impressive. Also you should be switching to silicone boots and seals as well as titanium shims. And I highly recommend some kind of cooling for both rotors which is way worse than wear as the rotors don’t really wear. Heat makes them “evaporate”. Contact Westersund for his cooling system. Once he adapts it (soon I hope?) for the 2NH caliper system I’m getting them.

Also if you are tracking DO NOT use traction control ever. MDM IF you need it but it will heat up your rears.

cooling is for sure needed.
I checked the option from Westersund and it looks great.
But not yet adapted for the big brake, although it shouldn't make a big difference.
regarding silicone boots i am afraid, that if the brakes reach a temperature where they burn, also the rotor is to hot and wears out, I guess.

Regarding the RSC-1s

I do not need more braking power, I want a bit better pedal feel when hot.
The brakes feel doughy in places and the pad smears on the pad when hot.
Brakefluid will be exchanged with RBF700.

Did the brakes get bled with ISTA and cycling the ABS? If not try that. It makes a big difference. FaRKle! has a pretty good video of it.
