Getting the most out of 6MT?

Curious what tips/tricks you 6MT F8X guys have when driving in Sport or Sport+?

Maybe something you wished you knew earlier that you know now?

Are you asking about anything in particular?

I used to have a 6MT, now have a DCT. In retrospect, the 1-2 delay with the 6MT if you wanted a super-smooth shift seems like an eternity compared to the DCT. Though I never did it with mine, search for CDV delete if you don't know about it.

What tricks? You push in the clutch pedal, shift, release the clutch and got WOT. I don't know any other tricks and I've been daily driving a manual for 41 years.

Yeah the 1-2 is an eternity, I've heard of the delay valve mod, might have to look into that.

MHD flash offers "no lift shift." It's bonkers on track (3rd>4th and 4th>5th).

yeah, 1-2 takes patience even during normal driving.

the sound of the NLS is to die for!

1st to 2nd is not relevant to road course/track use. For drag racing, sure

There is no trick, if you want to improve the shifts, make CDV off, install RTD shifter and mount harder gearbox bushings.

NLS sounds awesome. I've been thinking about switching from my BM3 to MHD for NLS, and maybe a custom track tune on it. Do you think it's worth it for that alone? Both from a fun perspective and maintaining boost on the straights. Have you seen a noticeable delta in your data with/without NLS?

NLS fun factor was the reason I purchased MHD. Sooner or later I'll take advantage of the ability to add power but crank hub.

I can't see any difference in lap times or Vmax that could directly attribute to NLS.
