Should also add Randy P's 1:32.5 at Big Willow in stock M3 from the recent magazine comparo, if we are adding pro driver times and not just forum member times

I think we all understand that Pro drivers will be faster than us, but feel free to reference them in your posts for comparison if you like. I'll keep the main board for forum members, modeling this after the track section of the other M3 forum. Keep the posts coming, remember to add your track videos if you have them. If you post up here and see your entry missing on the big board after awhile just PM me to remind me to get it up there.

Summit Point Main
Car: 2015 M3
Track: Summit Point Main Date: Agust 9 2015 Best Lap Time: 1:23.84 Brakes: Pagid RS 29 (SRF fluid) Suspension: stock (adaptive) Tire: Advan Neova AD08R 275/295 Other Mods: Dinan Stage 1 Car performed very well @ Summit, only complaint would be some braking instability @ turns 1, 3 & 10 (all 120 mph +). I was braking earlier than I wanted to due to this issue and certainly hurt my lap times. Ran the car very hard for 3 days with PCA and had no heat soak, brake fade, or any other issues. Porsche boys were quite surprised with how fast this big sedan can run around the track. There was another M3 there with Toyo RR slicks (275/18 square) and GC camber plates, RS 29s/SRF, very strong driver with formula car racing background who was also running 1:23s. My car was noticeably looser, but we were running pretty even lap times. Neither of us could break into the 22s. This was my first time tracking my M3, picked it up in April and have been thoroughly impressed! |

Car: 2015 M4
Track: Wild Horse Pass East Date: August 19, 2015 Best Lap Time: 1:07.35 Brakes: Carbotech XP12/10, fresh SRF fluid Suspension: stock (adaptive) Tire: Toyo R888 265/295, getting a little long in the tooth Other Mods: Dinan Stage 1 Car ran flawlessly, fresh SRF fluid and new front pads so no brake fade at all. Heat check at end of video. With SCCA Track Night, geared mainly towards noobs but fun to meet some new guys. Running a couple of seconds off my usually pace, but still the fastest guy there that night, LOL. I'm usually middle of the advanced pack in my normal club.

Master list updated. Sorry, been a busy last few days. Got E36 back from cage builder (finally) which gives me only 5 days to get all the stuff I need to do to it done before Labor Day weekend event (in a 100 degree+ garage, oh yeah).
Some good Big Willow laps from you Cali guys in mostly stock cars. MasterC17, I pulled your recent Lime Rock time off the other forum.

Car: 2015 M4
Track: Laguna Seca Date: 8-24-15 Best Lap: 1:47.07 Brakes: Cast iron with RS29 front and back Suspension: Ground Control at 3 degrees negative and adaptive on sport plus Tires: Hoosiers 285/30 front and 295/30 rear at 38 PSI hot I left a lot on the table. This was only my second outing in this car and I know that I can drive it faster but old age and caution keeps getting in the way. My target is around 1:43. TC Kline was doing 1:40 to 1:41 in his you tube video with 275 tires square and "coil over" dual adjustable Koni's. But he told me that with 275 he was overheating the rear tires and they would fall off after several laps.

Car: 2015 M3 Track: Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) Date: 9-1-15 Best Lap: 1:36.507 Brakes: Cast iron with XP12 front/XP10 rear Suspension: Base suspension Tires: Nitto NT01 275/35 18 front/rear on 18x10 ET33, 5mm spacer in front I was a little rusty, haven't been to Mosport in 8 years, but I got down to a decent time after a few sessions. I was impressed with the balance of the car running the square tire setup, I had very little understeer (mostly in turn 5b), some of which was certainly driver-induced. The stock brakes with upgraded pads were great, although Mosport isn't too hard on brakes. I was happy with the bite of the Carbotechs, they don't look to have worn much/at all, and I ran about 280 track miles. I saw in indicated 150mph going into T8, although my G2X was showing more like 143-ish. I'll have some video to post once I get back from Canada. Will have times for Mont Tremblant tomorrow, running with the Viper Club. Hoping to get into the :55s there. Last edited by Ryan239; 09-07-2015 at 07:28 PM.. Reason: added link to video |

Car: 2015 M3
Track: Le Circuit Mont Tremblant Date: 9-4-15 Best Lap: 1:54.7 (G2X datalogger) Brakes: Cast iron with XP12 front/XP10 rear Suspension: Base suspension Tires: Nitto NT01 275/35 18 front/rear on Apex EC7 18x10 ET33, 5mm spacer in front Can't quite match CanAutM3's time, but I was pretty happy to get into the :54s at Tremblant. I lost time in 1 and 9 for sure, but as I got refamiliarized and more comfortable, the track slowed and my tires were getting a little greasy. I had them flipped trackside, which helped, but things were still slower in the warmer afternoon. I have yet to download the videos but I will update this post when I do. |

I had slight improvement at VIR full outing last weekend with THSCC same mods as reported before:
2:13.92 Anyone know the Green Caymen R driver that put it into the wall in the upper Esses during the last session of the day?....feel sorry for the guy it may have been a total loss I love VIR but the place seems to eat up cars...It seems almost every event I attend someone balls up a car...I believe its due to being such a technically difficult track...I count my blessings when I successfully complete an event however I feel like its just a matter of time before I punch my ticket...shit last year one of the TUDOR Drivers stuck around and ran the Race Viper with us at Trackdaze HPDE after the race & balled it up to all hell in Oak Tree...I mean shit if a Pro can ball it up at an HPDE Last edited by kitesurfer; 09-20-2015 at 02:00 PM.. |

Car: M4
Track: Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant (LCMT) Best Lap Time: 1:52.20 (///M Lap-timer) Tires: Nitto NT01 275/35R18 square Brakes: Stock iron with Pagid RS29 Other relevant mods: None I was able to beat my previous best by a ~half a second at my last event of the season. I find the biggest challenge in achieving a good lap is getting a clean lap with no traffic. On this particular lap, I got it relatively good with only one car to pass (an F80), for which I had to compromise my entry going into 7. I think if I could get a completely clean lap, I might be able to get it down into 1:51s. I am looking forward to 18"x11" wheels shod with 305/35ZR18 NT01 in the rear and GC camber plates in the front for next season . EDIT: Video added. Sorry, but I forgot to turn-on the remote mic for this session, so no sound . I matched the video start/finish with the ///M Laptimer that has the Start/Finish at the end of the back straight. However, my preferred way to measure lap times is to use the actual Start/Finish line of a track, which is on the front straight at LCMT. Anyone knows how to change the S/F line in the ///M Laptimer?
