Good video editing software?
Guys I need to combine 2 videos perhaps picture in picture style, or overlay the audio track from one onto another video.
Getting ready to post a video from my euro delivery where I shot with 2 Gopros, only one of which has the cool exhaust sound. Any decent software recommendations which won't brake the bank? Much appreciated... ![]()

I had that and it sucked. I had several Windows based video editing software programs and never had much luck.
Finally ended up buying a MacBook Pro. The video editing software is included and works great. Pure heaven over windows.

What about movie maker, I think it used to be included in Windows. Haven't used it in ages so don't know it's current capabilities and if it meets your needs. But I couldn't resist being an apple fan, get a MacBook

Hit a snag with my laptop but hope to be able to able to fix it soon.
I found a few more recommendations online, I'll be sure to check out as many tools as reasonable. Thank you all very much for your advice.

imovie is so easy to use. i use movie maker now since the imac was garbage for everything else lol.
but no pic in pic that is clean for windows unless you want to start paying for stuff. now that I think about it - you can use RaceRender for all your track vids. |

I've been using TechSmith Camtasia for a while. It's fairly intuitive and powerful but not nearly as complex as Adobe Premiere.

Davinci Resolve is free and better than all the free options above. It is a very powerful editor and color grading suite. (Same company that makes black magic film cameras).

I use Avid Media Composer, but the learning curve is steep for media management. It's a professional tier editing software for TV and film, but it's the best at everything you mentioned.
However, I use iMovie for quick edits like swapping audio, but I'm not sure there is PinP.

+1 for Movavi as well. I used LumaFusion for a while, which is Apple-based (used it on my iPad, which worked really well), but made the switch and I really like Movavi. They have lots of integrated features like music, transitions, intros/outros, etc.
Also, +1 for RaceRender. I edit all of my track videos into RaceRender and integrate the data overlays with speed, rpm, throttle, brake, water/oil temps, timers, etc. I then save the videos from RaceRender and will put those into movavi to incorporate with other clips. |

+1 for camtasia. I have it on both windows and Mac and it's even better on mac.
iMovie is great for simple projects, Camtasia has similar features, with more options.
