I think (in fact I hope) that the F80 is the 4-door coupe version of the 3-series F30 is the sedan, F32 is the coupe and F80 is the 4-door coupe.. A 4-door coupe M3 would really be the best of all worlds.

F86(F85?) or if BMW/M-GmbH takes the new code system serious - with only 4 possible M-Cars in the range! - F83 was the M4 GranCoupe = the 4-door coupe!

Using the 128i as an example: When the new F2x coupe debuts, it will be called a 228i and the hatch will retain the 128i badge. I think..

my heart sank when i read this. how can they call it the M4? the M3 is pretty much the most iconic sports coupe of all time...and now they are changing the name. i don't get it. the coupe variant has been around for all 4 previous models of M3. why would they change it now?!!!

why would they ditch the M3 category for the coupe? hmm not sure about this. I guess we will have to wait and see how this plays out
