Yellow spot on paint after damage repair & respray

Hi guys,

Hoping someone can give me some insight here.

I scraped the rear fender against a pillar and touched it up before getting a bumper respray later on. This is what it looked like before the respray.



After getting the respray - all seemed well. This is the result.



I washed my car and couple days later this yellow spot showed up. Initially I thought it was claybar marring as I had used a claybar to get rid of a persistent dirt mark. I pulled out the machine polish and went over the spot but the yellow mark still wouldn't go away. This is what it looks like - it is right next to the fender arch:

Would anyone have an idea of what it is? Is there a possibility that this is from a poor respray job?

Interesting. Did you talk to the shop? It looks like it's right where the repair was.
