Valentine One Triggered By Interior

Not sure anyone else has had this issue. I have a 2nd gen Valentine1, and when I mount it in certain spots, something in the car is triggering the laser detector. Anyone else had this issue? Any remedies?

it is the newer style drivers sensor on the windshield looking forward for like encroachment or speed sign reading, something like that had changed....... when I went from the 15 M4 to the 18 M2 the V1 would never stop going off so I sold it

Its the gesture control sensor if I recall correctly. One to the left and right of the nav screen. There was a thread (gen 1) on this w/ photos.

There are 2 sensors on the sides of the center display that triggers the laser.

Other threads on this. But some potential solutions:
1: tape the 2 sides of the display and block
2: Try mounting the detector in a corner of the windshield
3: Turn off laser on the V1.

I personally shut off laser. If a cop hits you with that, it's gameover anyways.

Curious what do the sensors do? Before I started taping I figured I would ask.

Also - I've def got bounces from laser before I was personally targeted. I've always heard it was impossible but I caught a sniff when I was still around a bend.

I believe the display can support gesture control? Idk really. I can't find the exact post but it's on this forum somewhere.

As for laser, you can catch it if the targeted car is near you. But if it's direct on you they're gonna get you.
