Now on v9.1, the car starts up and idles very smoothly. The tune all around feels a little smoother and more responsive and the extra top end power is definitely noticeable to me! This is an excellent update.

BM3 ACN91 v8.7 was already smoother than stock aside from some start-up strangeness in my experience and now it's even better.
No changes at all to startup/catheating. After reflashing your car, the first startup may be a little rough.

Awesome !

After driving my car for a year with the bm3 CS+ map, I decided to try the new Stage 1 (v9.1) 91 octane map with 10% torque limitations on all gears and the draggy result was shocking.

It sprinted from 100-200km/h in 6.9s which is a second and a half faster than my previous CS+ map!!!!

My hardware mods are:

1- VRSF downpipe
2- BMC air filters
3- Aluminum charge pipe

Last but not least, the power delivery is very smooth and relatively linear compared to the CS map.

This can also be noticed in my datalog as the boost pressure builds gradually reaching a maximum boost of 22.4psi at 5500+ rpm.

here is my datalog:

What would this tune go in the 1/4 mile? Anyone have this exact setup?

I ran 11.62@126-127 on stock MPSS and a completely stock engine on un-prepped highway, BEFORE this 9.1 update added some extra power.

I actually think a tune-only stock engine, if the stars aligned (prepped track, cool air, drag radials). could run a 10.9 at similar traps.

No other mods. I've removed the charcoal filters. That's it. Other people have run quicker than me!

Question

Why set 10% torque limitations on all gears?

Holy crap. These numbers ultimately sold me on doing Stage 1 93 and sure enough it’s so stupid fast. My winters can somewhat put power down and I don’t even have boost reduction on, not to mention the throttle feels 100% OEM.

Running BM3 while driving was showing a 22.5 psi peak and 100% throttle opening. Isn’t this bordering on Stage 2 numbers, or was that map also given some steroids for v9.1? 513 wheel horsepower is damn near 600 crank on stock hardware.

Here is stage 2 93 octane 9.0 version with 20% torque reduction as a comparison. 22 PSI at 7000 rpm, stock downpipes.

Hi guys, I'm still running on 8.7 Stage 2 93 from early last year. Other than the changes:
Version 9.1, November 14 2019:
- Boost control changes
- Surge fix as reported by some users

Version 9.0, October 16 2019:
- Boost control changes
- Sport display recalibrated
- Exhaust flap control over sport/sport plus modes

What would I see in performance difference? I see this tread shows massive power with Stage 1 over stock, but I'm looking to see a similar chart but with 8.7 vs 9.1 93.
Thanks

I wonder if something Changed, my previous version was 8.6. Ran it for almost a year. I decided to update to the latest version 9.1. Reflashed the car and GTS Roar is not the same. No more rpm rise to around 1900rpm then back down to idle roar. Whats the difference between ON and Original GTS Roar?

I need to dig up dynofiles from 8.7, but I always like to dyno it all the same day, so the one posted is V9.0 vs V9.1

I'm still on stock plugs with 20k. Been tuned in some way shape or form since 5k. Zero issues. I also spend most of my time cruising and not redlining. Colder plugs are 100% necessary with stage 1?

I did the colder plugs in mine on the BM3 OTS1 93 per the reccomendation of the BMW shop I got the tune/dyno done. I think its probably a good idea given the increase of power and boost, but who knows!

If I already paid for the 93 octane flash can I upgrade to the latest version for free?

So if the stage 1 93 now makes 513. What does the stage 2 93 make.

Interested in this as well.

Have there been (or are there any planned) tweaks to the stage 2 93 map? I've been considering the addition of a downpipe and reflashing to stage 2, but after seeing the results from the 9.1 stage 1 map it makes it difficult to justify the additional cost if there's really not much difference between the two.

Anything in the works Halim@HCP ?

Halim@HCP I noticed this as well, was there anything that changed? Or can you put this back in a new version?

Always open a ticket about this, that way we can track it down and figure out any potential issue(s).
