How much louder would you say the Remus + AA mid is compared to AA only?

I'd put it at twice as loud maybe 3x. Cold start is BOOMING but calms way down afterwards. Idle is quiet. The car is really well insulated so it's not super loud inside. With a valve controller it's the perfect set up.

I'm still on stock downpipes. A lot of people said to stay with stock downpipes because it will ruin the sound.

I went from stock dp + aa mid + zcp muffler to stock dp + aa mid + MPE, while my friend had stock dp + aa mid + remus muffler.

A comparison between the 3..... the aa mid cuts down rasp significantly over stock, and when adding either the Remus muffler or the MPE muffler - you add a bit more sound and a nice change in tone. The MPE provides a higher pitch, due to the titanium while the Remus will offer a deeper note and reduces the rasp further.

Stock zcp i would rate at a 3

Remus + AA 5.5

MPE + AA 5.5

Would a Remus rear + AA Mid + downpipes sound very raspy?

Currently have Remus rear + AA Mid + stock DP and i can vouch that the car is very lovely to drive . Makes me want to drive the car even more.. No annoying drones and sounds very aggressive. When driving the car with cold start, the sounds are even better.. Sadly the sound goes away after car is warmed up...

Just mod bug biting again...

Downpipes add a bit of rasp, but much less than stock still. Here's a clip with downpipes:

I think Remus rear + AA Mid + Downpipes combo probably as good as it will ever get on this platform mate. Personally I would only go downpipes if i had a aa mid otherwise Non reso remus and leave the downpipes stock.

We are doing AA midpipe + REMUS axle back on the shop's M4 ... By far the best sounding setup in my opinion

Elipsis212 gave fantastic feedback about fitment and such, thanks dude.

Installed, the tips were a little too low for my taste. Brought it back to the shop and had it adjusted.

Driving around, the exhaust is pretty loud, maybe like 30-40% louder than stock. Can't imagine how louder it is with DPs. The crackles and burbles on sports plus are scaring people on the sidewalk. Cold starts sound way nicer (valves open); no more lawn mower sounds.

Question though, on initial push of the gas there is a slight vibration feel/sound, has anyone experienced something similar?
Is this 98mm tips?

It's been done but requires fabrication. The two don't bolt up directly if I remember correctly.

Found the thread with the Akra slip-on and AA midpipe. Also has sound clips.

MPE + AA 5.5

justin - i've got the mpe now on my zcp and stock dps. thinking about adding aa midpipe - was trying to find any videos you had of your set up but every time i search i get the gts videos you linked in this thread.

any chance you can shoot over video of your setup exhaust wise?

Unfortunately my clip is with DP

I didn't have stock downpipes with the MPE + AA mid pipe for very long. My feedback from the short time I had it is the rasp is greatly reduced and with stock dp there is a good amount of turbo whistle that you can hear when letting off. It's super prominent when in enclosed spaces line parking structures or narrow streets, probably my favorite characteristic of the set up. The main difference between the Remus axle back versus the MPE is that up top, about 4500 and above the note changes to the typically MPE sound, the wail/howl.... Minus the rasp! You're welcome to give me a ring if you would like to discuss more or ask any questions

What I'm wondering is how will it sound if I pair up an AAMid to the AWE switch non res and add DP's ? Similar to the Remus or not even close.

Oh crap
Well that settles it
😂😂😂
What would you recommend for the AWE non res ?
I just got it installed today and lovin' it but eventually I'll want to expand on my douchebaggery and level up the obnoxious.

Only thing you can do from there is add downpipes. The tone changes completely, I highly advise against downpipes with the Non-Resonated system.

Here's a video of both:

Personally I think the AWE Resonated with downpipes is one of the best set ups next to Remus + Active Autowerke Mid Pipe
