I ignored this response and didn't revisit this thread. I thought the OP was totally joking and I moved on. There's a Tuner/Vendor around here that is a very accomplished driver and driving coach. He was running an M4 with R-S3's, BBK, Aero, Roll Cage, Race Seat and KW Clubsports. He was running the same times as me that day 1:59. Granted, the car had understeer issues but it certainly wasn't holding him back by 10 sec. The fastest time of the day was a 1:53.69 by a 2011 GTS RS. Sorry but a 1:49 is inconceivable. EDIT: A 1:49 has an average speed of 94 MPH. Assuming that the OP graphed his best lap it states that 77.63 was the Avg speed which equates to a 2:12.1 time.

If his date is correct on his screen shot, that was the day of the Redline TA. I was there that day and he would've taken first in class and first overall! I scanned the names of the competitors that day and didn't see his name. Then, I went to the Extreme Speed website to see if I could pull up the lap times for that day, but it's not displaying on my work computer or phone.
I'm pretty sure I would've remembered a car other than Will with his 3g RX-7 big aero purpose built TA car running 1:49.7 as I ran a 1:50 and was desperately trying to best him. Could it be possible? Maybe with Billy Johnson at the wheel. First timer at the track? Highly doubtful. Especially with that low average speed. If you truly did, you need to look into professional racing as new career. Maybe the app is off with it's Start/Finish placement or the GPS wasn't working properly. Did you happen to have a transponder that day?

RE: BRP 3/01/2015 - Extreme Speed. There were only two transponder sessions that hit <= 1:49 that day. Red 2 and the Final Time Attack. The best transponder times were were 1:49.462 and 1:49.722 by what appears to be the WWR RX7.

man you and me both!
I left for a few weeks thinking this would die down but no.. I don't have video from the sessions that I ran and I wouldn't share it here anyway, I'm not trying to compete with any of you and it was an entertaining day for me with a car club so I shared some of the data that seemed valid showing a bit of what the car can do and unknowingly posted an impossible lap time from the M timer which is probably not accurate anyway. I typically don't drive every lap with real telemetry, video, a transponder or even my real name for fun. Buttonwillow is a bit out of the way for me as I usually work at Willow Springs or Fontana around LA but I'll make it back out to Buttonwillow with an M4, some telemetry and video one day but until then I fully rescind any claim made by me of any lap under 3 minutes. Btw, Will's RX7 was on some 200+ wear tires if I recall correctly to match the class he was running. His car is certainly faster than that and it still wouldn't shock me to see an M4 going far below 1:50 at some point in the near future especially with someone spending the time to adapt Ohlins to the car. This isn't comparable to the E9x platform at all. |

sorry to revive an old thread but in OP's post the telemetry says he traveled 14426.07 feet while averaging 77.63mph which translate to 113.85733 feet/second so the lap is around 2:06.7
am I missing something? |

I love the track, CW13 or CW1/Star Mazda - it is just in a middle of nowhere...

Although having done 1:57 bone stock show room setup F80
I call BS on 1:49 with only Hoosiers and no aero unless your name is Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton which even then I question if they can do sub-50 at BW13CW. |

I am under the impression you need pads/tires to break the 2:00 mark. A quick search yielded the following thread albeit an older thread on hitting 2:03 stock https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1004770 |

Pads, tires, and then the biggest difference will come from turning DSC completely off if you haven't already. There are a lot of corners where the car needs to slip through them and you'll get a lot of intervention with traction control that will slow down your progress far too much.
